Cerebal PAlsy INdoor football sessions

Led by Coach Lorraine Campbell, this event is for people that are 16+ years old and have cerebral palsy.

The sessions will take place at Malcolm Arnold Academy, NN2 6JW. This event starts on 29th of March and costs £3 per session and is delivered by an experienced cerebral palsy football coach, and is open to all abilities.

Inclusive Wildcats Centre

Weetabix Wildcats is non-competitive football for girls aged 5-11 who want to give it a go for the very first time or want to play with other girls their own age. Most importantly, Weetabix Wildcats is all about having loads of fun and meeting new amazing friends.

Led by coach Lorraine Campbell, this session provides an opportunity for girls with disabilities and impairments to play indoor football.

Sessions take place on a weekly basis, either evenings or at weekends, and are focused on helping girls make friends, have fun and be active through football in fun, safe environments. 

All sessions are delivered by FA qualified coaches, providing a safe place for girls to try football for the first time and develop key skills.

This session is open to abilities and is for ages 5 to 11 years, and costs £3 per session.

New Activity Sessions for Disabled People in Rushden

A new free physical activity session for disabled people and their families is starting on Thursday 9th February at 7.15 - 8:45pm. The fun sessions which are being organised by local charity Bak Up CIC will aim to improve participants wellbeing, tackle loneliness and reduce social isolation.

The weekly sessions are free of charge thanks to funding awarded to the charity by Northamptonshire Sport from Sport Englands Together Fund. The fund has been made available to organisations around the country with the aim of reducing the negative impact of the pandemic and inequalities in sport/physical activity.

Back to Netball sessions

Walk your way back to Netball! Led by Power of the Mind network, these sessions have been set up for women predominantly from black African and Caribbean backgrounds in Northampton to help them become active, but they will also be open to ladies of all backgrounds who are keen to have some fun.

These sessions will be held on Saturdays from 10.30 - 11.30am (starting from 12th November 2022) and will take place at the following address/

Spring into Fishing
April, May and June 2023

Free Spring into Fishing events let you experience first-hand how fun, inexpensive and accessible fishing is, and how it’s good for your wellbeing to get outside next to water and simply tune-in to the peace and quiet of nature.

Spring into Fishing events are happening all over the country from April right through to June at fishing clubs and venues in partnership with friendly, helpful coaches and volunteers who will show you and your children what fishing is all about.

FA para football talent club

This is a programme for male and female players with cerebral palsy, or for people who are deaf or partially sighted, with FA qualified elite coaches. It takes place at Redwell Leisure Centre, Barnwell, Wellingborough, NN8 5LP.

Session 1 is for ages 7-11 and Session 2 is for ages 12-16. It takes place place from 7th October every week, once a month. more information on times can be found on the poster to the left.

This is a weekly football club for people aged between 8 - 16 that have cerebral palsy, and takes place every Tuesday at 5:30 - 6:30 with an FA qualified elite coach! the cost for this club is £3 per session, and takes place at Goals, Abbeyfield School, Mereway, Northampton, NN4 8BT. to book a place on this club, more information can be found on the poster to the left.


 

DIsability football fun!

This club is in partnership with Premier League Kicks for people between 8 and 18 years of age, and is held every Wednesday evening from 4:30 to 5:30pm. the venue for this club is The Pemberton Centre, H.E Bates Way, Rushden, NN10 9YP. Join coach Cameron, for some football and multi-skills fun, in a safe and secure environment. More information can be found on the poster to the left of this text.
